Transport ministry invites for a number of investment projects in the field of maritime transport and metro.

   Dr. Ibrahim ElDemeery, transport minister has announced that Port Said port authority has undergone a public tender number 1 for the year 2012\2013 with sealed envelopes for the process of designing, establishing, managing, operating and maintaining container terminal CT2 working with BOT system. 7 companies have purchased the booklet and an opening session has been held for opening technical envelopes. Three bids have been submitted and a tender for container terminal at Safaga port and a multipurpose terminal at ElTour have been invited for and also the tender of implementing third stage of the third line of the tunnel metro.  

     The minister assured that the container terminal at Port said port pumps investments reaching 750million dollars and provides 2500 job opportunity for Port Said citizens and contiguous regions, adding that a tender number1 has also been invited for the process of designing, establishing, managing, operating, maintaining and re- handing over of a maritime berth and a container terminal at Safaga port on an area of 650thousand meters and another tender2 for designing, establishing, managing, operating, maintaining and re- handing over of a maritime berth and a multi-purpose terminal at ElTour port   on a land area of 85thousand meters.  

   On the other hand transport minister consultant for investment has announced that the Port said container terminal comes within a group of projects proposed by the ministry to supreme investment committee and Egyptian Gulf forum, and that the ministry has an ambitious investment plan in different transport fields whereas there is an ongoing activation and finance of other projects in the field of tunnel metro and railway.
